This anthology issue contains at least two science fiction stories. "The Scourge of the Carbon Belt" follows characters named Ace and "Prof" as they conduct a rescue mission to release prisoners from a Duke patrol, involving spacecraft and combat in an alien setting. "War on Sorian" depicts a conflict on the planet Sorian, where Barlac, the chief of space squadrons, confronts an enemy commander named Zorach over possession of a valuable metal resource that has been weaponized, ultimately ordering his forces to organize defenses and stop Sintenus before he can deploy the weapon against others.
