Tom Cat #5

An anthology issue featuring two Tom Cat stories. In the first story, Tom Cat competes in a World's Championship Eating Contest, where he must go without food for several days before the competition. Through a clever scheme involving cows, milk, and green sunglasses, Tom tricks everyone into believing a pool filled with milk is actually water, allowing him to swim and drink milk to prepare for the contest and ultimately win for America. In the second story, Tom Cat tricks the dim-witted Droopy into ordering a "soup sandwich" from Mr. Grumpy, a non-existent item that causes Mr. Grumpy to lose his temper and chase Droopy, giving Tom the first good laugh he's had in years.
