After Larue is rescued from the Calson Carnival, the Bingham Circus prepares for a gala performance, but the troublemaking Carney Calson threatens to cause chaos in the big tent. Tommy and Hamgravy transport Larue to the Bingham Circus, where they encounter Calson's sabotage attempts at his carnival. Tommy and a woman named Sally investigate suspicious activity around the circus wagons, discovering Calson's scheme to steal from the circus, leading to a confrontation where Calson is caught.
