This anthology issue contains at least two stories: one depicting a young Christian woman named Melania who chooses virginity and devoted service to Jesus over marriage despite her father's attempts to arrange a wealthy match, and "Westward Passage," a historical adventure about early 16th-century Spanish exploration in which the King of Spain commissions an explorer named Rodrigo to find a western route to the Indies after Columbus fails, leading to an expedition that discovers and settles new land. A third story depicts a community project involving the construction of a skating rink and slide on a hillside with volunteer labor and donated land.
