This anthology issue contains three romantic stories. "Third Finger—Left Hand" follows a woman named Emily who is helped to leave town by a stranger, only to be reunited years later when he and his wife Bella return to the area; Emily realizes she must accept their happiness despite her lingering feelings for him. "No Sad Songs for Me" depicts a successful nightclub singer named Sari who rejects a man named Larry's advances, insisting she wants to focus on her career rather than sing love songs for anyone. "Hungry Heart" tells of Cyn, a woman from a poor background who left her childhood sweetheart Joe behind when she moved to the city to pursue success, only to find herself unable to move forward emotionally and unable to return home without shame.
