This is an anthology issue containing multiple stories. "A Day of 'Fun with Pop'" depicts Sergeant Jones, recently returned from military service, taking his children on a family outing that includes inspection, planning a mountain hike, and enjoying time together in nature. "A Quiet Walk at Sundown" follows an Air Force pilot who, after completing a dangerous bombing mission, takes a reflective walk and reflects on the contrast between the peaceful landscape and the harrowing combat he experienced, while observing a Kawanishi aircraft being used for submarine patrol and witnessing it engage in combat that damages an enemy submarine.
