U.S. Air Force Comics #22

This issue contains two stories. The first story depicts a bomber crew conducting a test flight at 1,450 mph when their aircraft is struck by missiles fired from an airborne platform; after successfully evading the attack and destroying the communist threat, the crew safely returns to base and is commended for their mission. The second story follows Captain Masters, whose routine test flight at high speed generates newspaper headlines about a speed record; when Air Force public relations requests he participate in a press conference to publicize the achievement, Masters initially refuses and submits his resignation, but ultimately obeys orders and is reassigned to a new posting.
