The issue contains at least two stories: "Johnny Goes After a MiG," in which American pilot Johnny pursues a North Korean MiG at closing speeds of 1200 miles per hour, narrowly avoiding collision and ultimately outmaneuvering his opponent; and "Blood on the Clouds," featuring pilot Clay Holden, who has a personal problem involving a girl belonging to his best buddy, creating tension that nearly gets him killed in combat before he is rescued. A third story involving characters named Bill, Duke, and Shane depicts a rescue operation where a downed pilot is recovered from enemy territory by helicopter and jet pilots working together.
