Unusual Tales #1 This anthology contains at least two stories. In the first story, a man attempts to sell a painting of a prehistoric creature to a museum director, claiming it depicts a real animal he discovered. The narrative shifts to a World War II setting where three military officers are the only ones who know the location of a hidden switch to detonate a bomb, but an unknown soldier unexpectedly appears and saves them, later revealing himself to have an unnaturally stone-like face. In the second story, a doctor discovers that his doll has developed a sentient, mysterious pulse and an irregular heartbeat, leading him to investigate the source of this impossible phenomenon, which ultimately remains unexplained.
