Wambi #18

This anthology issue contains three jungle adventure stories. "King of the Monkeys" follows Wambi as he departs the jungle to explore new lands, entrusting his animal companions to the care of a mysterious spotted leopard; when the leopard proves untrustworthy and danger threatens, Wambi must decide whether to leave his friends. "King of the Congo" by Nils Van Duren depicts raiders pursuing a caravan laden with ivory through the jungle while native guides attempt to lead them away from the approaching "King of the Congo," an elephant with a formidable reputation. In the third story, Wambi encounters a crocodile in the river while natives debate whether to attempt a rescue, ultimately using a stick to help him escape the creature's grip.
