War and Attack #56
This issue contains two war stories. The first follows an aerial mission where Allied pilots engage Nazi bombers, with Lieutenant Beresford successfully destroying enemy aircraft despite damage to his own plane and the loss of his fellow pilots' aircraft. The second story, "The Smell of Fear," depicts Allied soldiers defending the French village of Villemont from Nazi occupation, with the troops hidden in an underground headquarters preparing foxholes and defensive positions while facing the threat of execution if discovered by German forces searching the village.
