War at Sea #31

This anthology issue contains three war-at-sea stories. "The U.S.S. Neversink" depicts the legendary ship that reportedly sank many times but could never be sunk. "The Maltese Raider" features a vessel that struck fear into enemy hearts. The main story shown follows an American naval captain and crew under attack by Japanese forces in the Pacific, with the captain making a desperate decision to destroy his own submarine rather than let it fall into enemy hands, ultimately escaping to an island where he encounters fellow survivors. Additionally, a historical feature titled "Huzza-for the Constellation" recounts the early history of the United States Navy, detailing the construction and service of the USS Constellation and related frigates during the French naval conflicts and War of 1812.
