Betty explains that four years prior her father died at the ranch, and recently learned her mother's will leaves everything to her—prompting the suspicious ranch foreman Brinch to prevent her from collecting. Meanwhile, Bob Dale confronts gambler Dick Warren over a promissory note, leading to a confrontation with outlaw Slade. In a separate story, Bull Northrup deals with the unruly stallion Satan while Wilma West becomes entangled in the dangerous situation, with the half-wild animal creating chaos at the stable.
