Western Fighters v3 #10
Lieutenant Charles Van Pelt, "The Great Indian Fighter," is invited to an embassy party in Washington D.C. to be honored by the State Department, but he suspects something is amiss when no one seems to care about the Indian fighter attending the celebration. During his trial for an unspecified crime, Van Pelt attempts to prove his innocence by demonstrating that his poor, impoverished client was the victim of a public animosity, leading a jury of common folk to find the defendant guilty despite Van Pelt's efforts to sway them with dramatic courtroom theatrics.
