An anthology of Old West action stories. One story follows Joe, a starving man who is taken in by the sheriff and fed, only to later learn that Joe had sold a mine to Randy for worthless claim and broken his back; the sheriff refuses to let Joe kill Randy in revenge. Another story features Bud Calkins, who becomes a wandering pony express rider seeking work in St. Joseph, Missouri; hired to ride mail to Elk Junction, Calkins is pursued by bandits and Indians after accepting the dangerous job, ultimately fighting off the attackers during his ride.
