This anthology issue contains three stories. "Flaming Vengeance" follows a man named Tenney who is framed for the death of an Indian named Black Water; Tenney discovers through investigation that Black Water actually died by accident, clearing his name. "Prairie Messenger" is an educational feature detailing the history and development of the Western stagecoach, from its English origins through its evolution on the American frontier, covering the various hazards and improvements made to these vehicles. "Book Learning Man" tells of Sam Lasson, a bookish man whose love of reading and study sometimes creates tension with his practical frontier companion Cora Sue during their outdoor adventures together.
