This anthology issue contains three stories: "Brand Upon My Love," in which a woman named Vance must warn her boyfriend Ed of danger before it's too late, leading to a desperate nighttime chase as Ed's house catches fire and Vance tries to save him from an oil driller's clutches; "Heartbreak Trail," which follows a woman's romantic entanglement with a man named Mal despite her mother's disapproval, as Mal becomes distracted by attending a rodeo; and "My Rodeo Romance," wherein a woman named Cindy seeks to discover who killed Jim Murphy, uncovering that gambler Jed Wingate won the Double Diamond Ranch in a rigged card game and that Bert, Jim's old partner, may hold answers to the mystery.
