Western Outlaws #20
"The Mankilling Horse of the Squared-L" follows "Roughneck" McTavish as he sets himself up as boss of the Squared-L cattle country with a gang of cutthroats to terrorize the countryside. A mysterious horse called "Mushmount" and its rider "Horseface" pursue McTavish's gang, driving stampeding cattle onto the railroad tracks to wreck trains and loot them. A young man comes to town seeking the horse and rider, revealing he came west to hunt for his brother's murderer and claiming vengeance is his purpose. After McTavish attempts to kill the boy-hero, the mysterious rider and his unstoppable horse prove instrumental in stopping McTavish's schemes, with the story concluding in a confrontation involving the sheriff and the criminals' ultimate downfall.
