Western True Crime #4
Western True Crime #4 Synopsis This issue contains two crime stories. The first, "Mr. Quantrill," depicts a woman who purposely wounds a man named Quantrill because she does not believe he has the right to kill another, even if inhuman. She then proposes to him, claiming he deserves a token of Satan himself, only to later threaten to bring men to break every bone in his body and destroy his town unless he leaves. The second story involves the outlaw Joaquin Murieta, whose lieutenant detachments operate across California and Mexico, stealing gold via swift horses and untravel'd ways. After miners return with gold dust, conflict erupts as a man named Delaney confronts Murieta's gang with a whip and knife, ultimately facing execution by a character who declares he will slit Delaney's throat.
