Set in 1754 at Fort Necessity, the story follows the immortal Pan Brand and Tipi, who team up with young army officer George Washington to fight against tyranny in the frontier wilderness. When a mysterious white man appears among hostile Native Americans preaching war and destruction, Eye of Hawk and the tribal leaders debate whether to accept his influence or reject his lies. Tipi goes missing, prompting Dan to search for him in the woods, where he discovers that Tipi has chosen to stay with his own people rather than return to civilization, though the two remain bound by their shared mission.
