Wild Bill Hickok #17

Wild Bill Hickok ventures into Indian territory where he becomes entangled in a conflict involving Mexican raiders and Native American tribes. After helping defeat a bear and encountering a government agent, Hickok assists in delivering supplies to the Alamo during a Mexican attack, where he persuades fleeing Mexican forces to retreat. The story concludes with Hickok meeting with an Indian chief, who reveals that fur skins and drums have been used to incite war between white settlers and Native Americans, and Hickok agrees to help restore peace between the warring peoples.
