Wild Bill Hickok undertakes a cattle drive from Kansas through dangerous Indian territory to Montana, navigating treacherous terrain and hostile encounters with Kiowa warriors. Meanwhile, a separate war party attacks a stagecoach in the Oregon Trail region, and Hickok becomes involved in a rescue mission after learning of a woman with scarlet fever stranded near Fort Jefferson.
