This issue presents true-life adventures of Will Rogers in two stories. "Plunder of the Range" depicts a confrontation between Kit Carson and Captain Shunan, a bully terrorizing trappers in the wilderness; after a duel in which Kit deliberately shoots non-lethally, the wounded bully is cared for by the men he had scorned, ultimately reforming through their kindness. "Flying Eagle in Golden Treachery" follows Will Rogers and his friend Jim as they become embroiled in a conflict involving Chief Night Owl's son, Flying Eagle, who seeks gold; the story culminates in a chase as Will attempts to retrieve stolen gold and escape pursuing bandits.
