This anthology issue features multiple aviation-themed wartime stories. "Clipper Kirk" leads the issue as Kirk prepares to lead invading tank sky-gods to race Africa's secret champion pilot. "Greasemonkey Griffin" follows, depicting a hero defected and forlorn as he totters on the rim of a big drum, reaching some conclusion where his attitude must change or something terrible may go wrong, before a Sergeant suddenly arrives. In a third story, an American flier evades a German paratrooper in snowy terrain, with Jane Martin making a dangerous rescue on a jeep ride across mined landing fields, ultimately saving the fields from destruction and earning commendation from a general, though the ride itself proves harrowing enough to make her sore for a month.
