This issue contains three stories. "Party in the Badlands" involves Wyatt Earp encountering criminals in the badlands. "Shadow of Violence" deals with violent conflict during Earp's marshal duties. "The Horse of the West" is a factual feature explaining that horses were not native to America until Spanish explorers like Cortez brought fine horses of Barb and Arab breeding to Mexico, which then spread northward. A narrative story also depicts Earp boarding a railroad car where he encounters Mr. Cardelli, a gentleman thief in fine clothing, and confronts him about his criminal activities before forcing him off the train.
