Yarns of the Yellowstone #1

This anthology issue contains two stories. "Yellowstone's Phantom" follows a starving man named Mr. Everts who becomes lost in the wilderness for 57 days, his fire extinguished and supplies exhausted, until he is discovered in the snow by mountain men Jack Baronett and Geo. Pritchett. "The Cowan Incident" depicts George Cowan's harrowing experience after being shot and left for dead, only to be discovered by a nearby Indian who shoots at him; Cowan survives the night and crawls away. The issue also includes informational content about early automobile travel regulations in Yellowstone (instituted in 1915) and the evolution of transportation in the park, from horses and stagecoaches to buses and helicopters.
