A newlywed couple, Norm and Midge, experience marital friction when Norm becomes upset about their spending habits and lavish purchases, including a high-fidelity radio set and a foreign sports car. After an argument, Midge goes out on the town and encounters an old flame, Hal, who takes her to a party where she reconnects with him romantically. When Norm discovers Midge's infidelity through a chance meeting, he confronts her, but Hal intervenes and claims Midge deserves honesty and better treatment. The story concludes with Midge choosing to work on her marriage with Norm rather than pursue the rekindled romance with Hal.
