Young Eagle #4
This issue contains two stories featuring Young Eagle. In "Painted for War," tensions escalate between tribes and settlers as Young Eagle attempts to prevent violence, only to be hunted by his own people after intervening to stop an attack on white settlers. In "Young Eagle's Protege," as frontier relations develop, Young Eagle visits Fort Walters and is arrested upon the arrival of Colonel Webber; a week earlier, Young Eagle had befriended a young half-Indian boy at the fort, and when a new commanding officer arrives, Young Eagle must convince him of the boy's trustworthiness and his own peaceful intentions.
