"Homer K. Beagle the Demon Detective" follows the canine detective as he chases a canary into the middle of a criminal plot. Homer nearly becomes entangled in the case but ultimately tracks down and apprehends the murderer with the help of his animal companion. The criminal is caught after a chaotic series of events involving Homer's pursuit and the use of a high-frequency whistle to summon help. The culprit loses his sanity during the ordeal and is brought to justice as Homer recovers from his tumultuous adventure.
