"I Thought I Could Get Any Man I Wanted by Playing the Clinging Vine" depicts a woman named Mary Lou who employs helplessness and dependency as a dating tactic to attract men, but learns this manipulative approach backfires when the men she pursues recognize her weakness rather than finding it endearing.
