After confessing her true feelings to Bill, she ends the engagement; Dick later phones and reveals he loves her, leading them to enter through the front door together to announce their engagement. A second story features a woman torn between two suitors—the wealthy Mr. Jackson, whose family disapproves of her lower social status, and an unnamed man of her own class—ultimately choosing love over social climbing when Jackson's family pressures him to abandon her.
