Young Romance #79

A woman named Marcie seeks work as a secretary and is hired by Phil Hurley, an ambitious businessman with designs on expanding his nightclub empire. After learning that her ex-boyfriend Bob Spencer, a Broadway columnist, wrote negatively about one of Hurley's establishments, Marcie realizes she was hired to spy on Spencer and help Hurley gain leverage against him. When Hurley attempts to manipulate her into using her secretarial position to gather damaging information about Spencer, Marcie refuses and quits, ultimately reconciling with Spencer and choosing integrity over professional ambition.
