This anthology issue contains three romantic stories: "Love Tames the Tiger," in which Zara, the queen of big cats at the Rengal-Dailey circus, abandons her animal trainer role when she falls for Jim Blaine, an aerialist, but must contend with Jim's romantic interest in Lisa, another performer, leading to threats of jealous violence. "Love Flight" follows Elizabeth Traynor, whose father's death leaves her family in financial hardship, forcing her to board American pilots at her English home during wartime; she becomes involved with Captain Norton, a pilot, but must navigate complications regarding her family's propriety and his interest in another woman. The third story, partially visible, features a romance involving a mermaid and a sailor on a ship, with themes of class difference and the mermaid's desire to become human and join her love in his world.
