A man named John Becker arrives at a ranch during bad weather, claiming to be a lawman. He is welcomed by the ranch owner and his daughter Lucy, and offers to help with chores while the weather passes. That night, Becker secretly retrieves a gun from the study and enters a darkened room to confront a man named Señor Arrigua, revealing himself to be more than he appears. The story continues to be resolved in the next issue.
