Pinus teocote Schiede ex Schltdl. & Cham.
This is a botanical herbarium specimen sheet, not a political cartoon or caricature. It displays pressed branches, long needle fascicles, and two seed cones of *Pinus teocote*, a Mexican pine described by Schiede, Schlechtendal, and Chamisso. Handwritten labels identify the species and collection context. No satirical tradition applies here. This specimen belongs to the natural-history collecting practice that ran parallel to print culture in the 19th century — both disciplines relied on rigorous observation, annotation, and reproduction — but it has no connection to Hogarth, Gillray, or the caricature lineage from which comics descend. A wall label for this object would belong in a natural-history or taxonomy exhibition, not one on comic art.
