Heliotropium transalpinum var. tiaridioides (Cham.) I.M.Johnst.

· Collected 1913, det. 2018

Heliotropium transalpinum var. tiaridioides (Cham.) I.M.Johnst.
This is a pressed herbarium specimen, not a cartoon or caricature. The mounted plant shows stems, leaves, and partial inflorescence of a Paraguayan heliotrope collected by E. Hassler for *Plantae Paraguarienses* (1913) and later determined by F. Luebert at the Royal Botanic Gardens. No satirical content, printmaking tradition, or caricature lineage is present or applicable. Writing a wall label treating this botanical sheet as a comic-art artifact would be factually false. The object belongs in a natural history or botanical-illustration context, where its correct label is the specimen data already printed on its herbarium sheet.
