Richardia grandiflora (Cham. & Schlecht.) Steud.

· Collected c. 1831

Richardia grandiflora (Cham. & Schlecht.) Steud.
This is a pressed herbarium specimen, not a cartoon or caricature. The mounted plant — *Richardia grandiflora*, a flowering herb in the Rubiaceae family — is affixed to archival paper alongside handwritten collector's notes, a color-calibration chart, and a ruler strip. No satirical imagery, printmaking tradition, or caricature is present. Attempting to write a political-cartoon wall label for this object would fabricate content unsupported by the image. The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh barcode is visible at lower left. The specimen relates to botanical illustration history, not to the Hogarth–Gillray–Daumier print-satire lineage from which comics descend.
