Hypericum caespitosum Cham. & Schltdl.

This herbarium sheet preserves pressed specimens of *Hypericum caespitosum*, a small-flowered St. John's wort native to Chile, mounted on archival paper alongside two handwritten labels. The collector's note, written in a Victorian cursive hand, records the plant growing among short grasses on the flats near the Río Fantástico, Province of Coquimbo, Chile. A second determination slip, dated 1952 and signed by C. Rodríguez Jiménez, corrects the original field identification from *H. chilense* Gay. N.K.B. Robson approved the name in 1957. The sheet passed through the herbarium of R. Morton Middleton before entering an institutional collection. Three stems with small orange-red flowers remain intact, their tissue desiccated but structurally legible after more than a century.
