Heliotropium salicioides Cham. — Herbarium Type Specimen
This is a pressed botanical herbarium specimen, not a political cartoon or caricature. The sheet mounts two dried plant stems of *Heliotropium salicioides* collected in Bahia, Brazil by collector Blanchet in 1842, held by the Natural History Museum, London (Department of Botany). A color calibration chart and metric scale bar accompany the specimens for archival photography. The handwritten and printed labels identify it as a syntype. No satirical, caricature, or printmaking tradition is relevant here. Writing a wall label framing this as a political cartoon would misrepresent the object entirely.
