This is a pressed herbarium specimen, not a cartoon or caricature, and cannot honestly be described as one. The mount shows a dried climbing yam (*Dioscorea convolvulacea*), its heart-shaped leaves and seed-bearing stems fixed with paper strips to archival board. A handwritten label identifies the collector, location, and determination by O. Téllez in 1993. No satirical figures, printmaking technique, or caricature tradition is present or implied. Fabricating a political-cartoon narrative for a botanical specimen would be a curatorial falsehood. The object belongs to the history of natural-history illustration and taxonomy, not to the Hogarth–Gillray–Nast lineage of print satire from which comics descend.
