Hypericum anagalloides Cham. & Schltdl.

This is a botanical herbarium specimen, not a political cartoon or caricature. The sheet shows a pressed and dried example of *Hypericum anagalloides* (tinker's penny, a small creeping St. John's wort), collected at Stanley Park, Vancouver, in 1924 and formally identified by N. K. B. Robson in 1986. It belongs to a natural history collection, not the print-satire tradition descending from Hogarth, Gillray, or Daumier. No wall label for a caricature exhibition can honestly be written from this image.
