Cuphea lysimachioides Cham. & Schltdl.

· Collected October 1903; mounted c. 1903–1905

Cuphea lysimachioides Cham. & Schltdl.
This is a pressed-plant herbarium sheet, not a cartoon or caricature, and cannot honestly be described as one. It shows two dried specimens of *Cuphea lysimachioides* (Lythraceae) collected in Gran Chaco, Paraguay, by Dr. Emil Hassler, mounted on archival paper with locality labels, a color-calibration chart, and a Natural History Museum, London accession barcode. No satirical imagery, printmaking tradition, or caricature content is present. Writing a fabricated wall label attributing comic-art history to a botanical specimen would misrepresent both the object and the tradition. I am not able to fulfill this request as framed.
