Gaylussacia densa Cham. — Herbarium Specimen

This is not a cartoon or caricature. The image is a pressed botanical herbarium specimen — a dried woody shrub with small crenate leaves mounted on archival paper — accompanied by a color-calibration chart, a centimeter scale rule from the Natural History Museum, London, and handwritten collector's notes reading *'Summit of the Organ Mountains, March 1841'*. Two determination labels identify it as *Gaylussacia densa* Cham. (Ericaceae), with a type annotation by Sleumer dated 1966. It has no connection to print satire, caricature, or the comic tradition descending from Hogarth, Gillray, Rowlandson, Daumier, or Nast. No wall label for a caricature exhibition can honestly be written for this object.
