From the exhibition
Hypericum anagalloides Cham. & Schltdl.
· Collected 1881; mounted specimen, date of sheet preparation uncertain

This is a pressed botanical herbarium specimen — dried plant material mounted on archival paper with handwritten and printed collection labels — not a political cartoon or caricature. The image shows *Hypericum anagalloides* (bog St. John's wort), a small-leaved, mat-forming wildflower native to western North America, collected from Washington and California. Museum labels identify collectors, localities, and dates. No satirical content, printmaking tradition, or caricature is present. A wall label for a print-satire exhibition cannot honestly be written from this image. To do so would require inventing content unsupported by what is actually shown.
